The next generation of Lifelong Learning programs is underway as of 2007, aiming to “foster interaction, cooperation and mobility between education and training systems within the Community, so that they become a world quality reference.” The program shall involve all 27 Member States as well as Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Turkey.

European citizens have the possibility to get up close to learn how such organisations work, profiting from the internship opportunities available over the course of the year. They can gain experience as part of a study path or to further their professional careers from a multicultural point of view.

Training is a key tool for implementing the Lisbon Strategy, in particular, for realizing the objective of making Europe “the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world capable of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion”.
